You have carved yourself a place in our hearts by the quality of your posts and congratulating you on number is like offering obeisance to the Sun by lighting a candle! In this context, I remember the words of Bernard Shaw- "There are millions of vegetarians in the world but only one Bernard Shaw. You do not obtain eminence quite so cheaply as by eating macaroni instead of mutton chops"

    Dear Sridhar Sir, Thats just great. In these 4000 posts how many thoughts u would have shared with Ilites. I want to read all the posts but the time does not permit me. Everything should be collected and published in the book form. It would help and enlighten us in every walks of life. Keep going and share more and more with ilites. we r the privileged lot to have u here. ​

    congrats on reaching 4000 posts. I feel that you should have reached it long before, you are interacting with each of us individually.
    It is a pleasure, your stories, articles and reply to our comments. There are so many happy moments, sad moments, nostalgic ones and so on.
    And you are ever there to help us when we need it the most.

    Hi Mals,
    Thanks a ton for your kind greetings. I still consider that my achievement here in IL is not that I was the first male member, not that I got the very first prize announced in IL in 2005, it is not even that I have completed 4000 posts. The real achievement is that I have a place in the hearts of you all. That to me is a remarkable achievement. May God give me the wisdom, strength and love to stay there for ever.

    Thanks a lot for your kind greetings. This 4000 post does not confer any extra status on me. The beauty is that even after writing all the 4000 posts I still remain the naughty, over forty, mofussil accountant.
    The real recognition of work done has come elegantly and eloquently from loving hearts of people like you and all the ILites.

    Dear Sri,

    That was really poetic. And if you are going to write such posts when my posts cross some numbers, I would be writing quite a lot, multiply my posts by the thousands, eager to see your poetic greetings.

    I have read a thousand quotes of GB Shaw not this one. It was quite amusing though when the reference is to me it is quite out of place.

    Incidentally I remember another anecdote in connection with Shaw's vegetarianism. When he switched over to Vegetarianism his doctors issued a stern warning that he would die soon.
    When Shaw successfully completed 20 years of vegetarianism a press meet was convened. Shaw remembered the warning issued by his Doctors 20 years ago.
    One reporter asked him, "Why don't you call them up now and tell them that they were wrong?"
    "I would love to," replied Shaw. "But none of those Doctors are alive today."
