Confronting Vaccine Hesitancy

Recently the Medicare Mailing [this goes to those who are on the mailing list of the USA Medicare Insurance Program] put out a request to have the members tell everyone they know to go and get the vaccine. This is the government's campaign to tamp down on the Delta-variant spread, as well as get to herd immunity.

The short-movie they sent out was this:


essentially asking the black people in the country to pitch for the vaccination with their friends and relatives. It is always nice to have a movie critically acclaimed -- even if it is a public service announcement. I had this reaction to the movie:

Should specific racial groups be poked in Public service announcements ? Especially when we know that there is a greater problem of the same genre in the majority racial group? Some private bloggers are putting out Public Service messages to address this problem.
