    Hi Krishna Amma :wave,

Thanks for your tip. I thought the besan had to be fried... since it was tasting raw. I will use your tip of mixing besan little by little ensuring that it doesnt forms lumps. I guess Nookal is Cashew burfi... is it?

Will try Mysorepak again and will let u know how it came out. Its my Bday on Tuesday so surely I have to try some sweet ... :cheers

    Bye,
    Anu

    Sorry dear,

I missed your post. Have you seen the difference between cooking soda that is baking soda and baking powder.
You have to use baking powder for making cakes. ok ya?

    Dear Krishnamma,

I want to make Honey Ginger Drink. Have 2 questions:

    1. How to take ginger extract? I don't have indian mixie and the local mixie is not that powerful...
    2. Is it possible to make this drink in bulk (like fruit juice concentrates), store in fridge and mix water and use when needed? If yes, then what is the proportion?

    Thanks...
    Latha

    Hi Latha,

Yes you can make bulk and keep in fridge.
To make ginger juice, you can remove the skin and make ginger into small pieces. Then gring in the mixer. Or other wise grate ginger after removing the skin. Then grind in the mixer. So it will be easy to grind ginger.
Before preparing ginger, please go through these links. So that you will get idea to make the ginger juice. ok?

Ginger & mixed fruit Juice/ Punch

    Ginger Lime Sherbet

    Ginger Honey Drink

    Dear Manju,

You can do the following. :idea

    1. Close the vessel with lid.
    2. Add a sp oil or ghee with dal.
    3. Use equal quantity of water.

I think this will help you.:-D
