    Girls..... I am in heaven today

    I just checked my weight almost after 2.5 months (I am in my 5th month postpartum now). It shows that I've lost almost 6 kilos (almost 13 pounds). OMG, I couldn't beleieve this for a moment, then got assured with my neighbors' comment and my husband's remarks about my shape. Thanks for your motivation..

    Although I have been dieting (Just stopped tea/coffee completely, no fried food, no sweets, and reduced (almost 1/2) the size of my 3 meals) for nearly 2 months, I am motivated to do this religiously with calorie counts, water intake and walking only after joining you guys.
    I think mine is more or less a life style change, so I will hopefully continue this forever, as I am adapted to this

    Welcome girls.

    Whatever you take,let it be healthy.

    • Balanced diet is a must,or else you will become lethargic and loose your stamina.
    • Don't skip your meal esp breakfast.
    • Don't be on hunger and under control of your tempations.
    • Don't ever be over-consious about your diet.
    All these will trigger to have more.
    SO
    Curb your appetite by taking many small meals.
    Enjoy whatever you feel to have,but in small quantity.


    eg,for BR.fast-instead of taking four chapatis,cut down to two with generous dal/lentils.
    Have an apple./green tea/black tea.


    Aim for five small meals (200 to 500 calories) a day rather than three large ones.

    Read an article in net and sharing them in short.


    Foods to be excluded in plenty


    Water-atleast 1.5 lit per day(.By increasing your current water intake by 1.5 liters a day, a person would burn an extra 17,400 calories a year, resulting in about a five-pound weight loss)


    Fruits and nuts


    Fruit juices


    Raw veggies


    Veggie juices


    Coconut water


    Thin dals


    Buttermilk


    Green tea


    Fat free Non-veg


    Go for non-fat dairy products(aim for 1200mg-three servings a day)


    Pump up proteins.
    Not in an extreme, but having a little protein at every meal fires up your metabolism.
    keep protein levels to between 20 and 35 percent of your diet; eating too much of it can cause kidney strain and may cause your body to store too much fat.




    Skip starch
    Refined carbohydrates, such as bread, potatoes and rice, create a surge in insulin that in turn drives down your resting metabolic rate.It's important to keep carbohydrates in your diet, but really focus on fruits, vegetables and whole grains, which have less of an effect on insulin levels.And when buying whole-grain breads and cereals, make sure the first ingredient listed is whole wheat, whole oat or cracked wheat.




    Break up your workouts
    Try dividing your workouts into two shorter 20-minute sessions. You'll rev up your metabolism for an hour or two after each workout, which means you'll burn more calories than if you did one longer session


    Get enough Sleep
    When you're exhausted, your body lacks the energy to do its normal day-to-day functions, which includes burning calories efficiently....So the best way to make sure your metabolism runs smoothly is to get six to eight hours of shut-eye each night.


    Please avoid
    Restaurant food
    Fried foods
    Sweet foods and desserts
    Processed and packaged foods
    Tea, coffee and aerated drinks

    8AM:tea
    9AM:apple
    10AM:moongdal dosa
    11:30AM:eek:ne carrot
    1PM:1 1/2 cup rice,brinjal curry,rasam,buttermilk
    4PM green tea
    7PM watermelon juice
    8:30PM:Ravva dosa,buttermilk

    Complete day was busy Could not mange time do any workout:hide:
