Come lets loose some Weight (People who are serious to Loose weight, Only please)

    HI all..

    I have PCOS, and i have to loose weight. I am targeting for at least 10kG.

    As per few health sites 3-4kgs per month is ideal weight that can be lost in month.


    I need 4 buddies who are serious to loose weight.. Please fill in these details, so we can be familiar about each other, follow up and motivate each other...

    I m ready for this ...But i can do the diet and walking not yet joined any gym, aerobics... Planning to join in Yoga...

    HI Padmaja

    Welcome..

    I don't want to do hardcore Diet, and then cheat on diet.
    So plan something that is realistic to your lifestyle.


    Below are things i am planning..

    Walking/Treadmill

    1. Do 1km morning and 1km evening Treadmill (I have treadmill at home)

    2. 30mins of Aerobic dance workout(I don't know a single step in dance, have
    downloaded Aerobic dance, planning to do it morning or evening for 30mins)

    3. Use stairs in office whenever possible.

    4. Walk 30mins in office campus.


    Food/Diet


    1. Moment i get up 1 Big glass(250litres) Horlicks.

    2. Oat meals Kanji + any fruit OR Cornflakes for Breakfast

    3. Lunch

    4. Fruits in evening, Now watermelon, papaya and grapes season.

    5. Night Soup or Salad or Oats dosa or Upma

    **Hot glass of water three times a day(Drink as much as hot you can)
    ** Avoid rice, and limit to once/twice a week.

    Most of my Lunch box for office is

    1. Broken wheat bisebele bath with lot of veggies.

    2. Pasta with with lot of veggies.

    3. Shavige with lot of veggies.

    4. Masala upma with lot of veggies.

    5. Veg pulav(basmati rice) with lot of veggies.

    6. Chapati with Palya/curry/sabji

    7. Sundals/Usli/Rajma will be filling but less calorie.

    8. Cut Carrot/Cucumber/Fruits and eat when u feel hungry.

    9. Night restrict to liquid and light food, and eat before 8;00pm

    Hi Girls

    Count me in... I am so serious about losing weight too.

    I am not sure about any hardcore exercise as I am yet to fully recover from my 2nd c-section (I had complications, and it took almost 3 months to completely heal). It is my 5th month PP. But I can walk in the morning and evening.

    Plus I decided to give some rest to my maid and Amma, so that I can shake my body (bending and sweating) at home by doing the basic chores in the evenings/night as I am always sitting in front of the system at office.

    I am yet to meet my dietitian and will update her advise soon.

    I have simply reduced the size of my normal meals.
    Strict NO to junk food and beverages
    No coffee/tea instead take honey/lemon juice in the morning, and green tea in the eve

    Once I am done with this, I am planning to take a step ahead by avoiding anything in white (No white bread, white pasta, white rice and white floor), instead I would go for whole wheat and brown rice combination.

    Next, I would switch my dinner to Veg soup and salad only.

    Since I have a young baby, and a demanding toddler I can not think of anything very strict with my diet. Also, I am just resumed my work after child birth, so I must concentrate on that front too.

    Kids: 2 (one boy- 3 yrs and a girl - 5 months)
    Method: Simple diet, avoid junk and walking

    I stay in Bank colony dear. Update what you ate, and how much u walked/treadmill/Aerobics everyday. Please fill in that dear, so we can know more about u, and your plans for weightloss

    HI Welcome SGBV. So we are 3 in team now.. Will wait for 2 more..

    Dont be hard on yourself, as its just 5months post c-section.
    Also managing two kids and office itself will drain i guess.

    Walking and Good diet should help... All the best...
