thanks to shanvy and swaran for your easy and useful tips..............
i also use old wasted paint brushes to clean the window grills. ofcourse i also remove these mosquito nets from velcroe & wash in soap by hand only and its very easy maintenance.
but the idea of putting a netlon for a window near stove is very new to me. as my stove was near the wall area, i did not know about the pains in cleaning a grill in that area. i easily clean the tiles are above the stove. thanks swaran for this wonderful idea. it is definitely useful for all of us, even if we shift to new homes.

    hey thanks g3sudha :)

    Dear Nija,
cleaning exhaust fan is really tough..if you are putting it new,it has to be cleaned like once a week..else its just too too difficult...
my FIL had a tough time cleaning it 2 months back..he used all powders detergents, soap oil, scrub what not...but dirt that came out from it was like yuck!!!!
it was so hard for him(he cleans so well) and he could only do half the work..but still it was better...

so you can get a new one but make sure you scrub and clean it once a week for sure!!!!!!

Exhaust fans, some of the models come with easy removal of the blades..if you can remove, dip it in hot water so the grease and grime washes aways, then clean them with regular soap..

if this is not the case, take a cloth that has been dipped in hot water (wear gloves, so that you can withstand the heat) and rub the grime out. then rub some white vinegar over it, scrub off with a cloth with little more pressure..this should do the trick..

and doing this once a month if you are not into deep frying or 15 days once if you are into too much spicy/oily cooking helps maitaining... and caution when wiping with hot water or vinegar so that it does not drip into the motor...and allow the fan to dry completely before you run it..
