After I make poori, the oil that I use for frying is not clean. Meaning, I dust the poori with atta. So when I fry the puri, the atta particles are left over in the oil. How do I clean this oil? I just don't want to throw away the oil after only 1 use

Even i used to dust poori with flour thereby the flour would remain in oil and become black...

i have changed the method as suggested by someone...i dip the poori dough (which is shaped like small coin) by the side into the hot oil and then make poori...

so it comes soft, plus oil is not wasted

For poori you should add less water into flour than chapathi. And dont use raw flour while making paste.

If u feel the poori dough is sticky just touch the oil and make the paste. Then your oil wont be spoiled

    My dear Keertanah,

please make your poori dough almost of the consistency of parotha so you would not require to use raw flour to roll them. You could use little bit of oil to avoid them sticking to your rolling pin and board.

however for cleaning your oil let it cool off so some of the flour would stay on the bottom of the pan then you could use paper towel in a sieve and pour the cold oil onto it.

    Love,
    Bhavna

I think frying again and again in the same oil is harmful ....

Is it still harmful if we use the remaining oil in cooking vegetables? Please comment...
