Cleaning & Maintaining of silver articles

    Please pour in your ideas on cleaning & especially maintaining of silver articles, on day-to-day items such as pooja articles & yearly-used items such as God varalakshmi's face, big kutthu vilakku etc...:help

    There are two ways. Boil water and add in pieces of aluminium foil. Then add some cooking soda and then soak the silver articles for 10 mins. By this method the shining will lost in one week.
    Another method is using silver polish. Always use gloves, otherwise your hands will get dry and the skin will peel of if you are alergetic. This polish gives bright look and will be shiny for two or three weeks. Be careful if your kitchen sink is stainless steel because it will stain the s.steel.

    Hai friends,
    Pitambari powder or tamarind +lemon can be used for cleaning pooja articles. Viputhi for silver articles. Padaiappa soap is also there, used for cleaning both silver & pooja articles.

    i m using boiling silver lamps in water+baking soda+aluminium foils it ll shine like new one.
