    Christmas is my favourite time of the year. I love the green...red...and golden hues that give my place a very festive look, as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord. Adorning the house with decorations is a ritual of sorts...which sets in the spirit for Christmas...along with all the carols and baking ! Our Christmas ornaments have been collected over the years...and they all have a story to tell. This year was made special by my poinsettias which bloomed in all their glory !

    Merry Christmas to all
    Christmas is a special time for us as it reminds us that the Jesus was not born in a palace but in a humble stable, his first visitors were not the rich and the famous but the sheperd who were looking after their sheep at night.
    My families way of remembering the love of God, is to replecate that humble dwelling made by my DH and two boys every year.

    Christmas tree represents everlasting love, conifer trees are used as it is the only tree that remains green when all other leaves have shed their leaves for the winter (in the west). Our tree has been decorated by ornaments collected over the years and a few hand made decorations.

    Christmas wreath has no begining and no end like Gods love for us and is put up before christmas in preparation of Christmas (period of advent).Our wreath was made by one of DH's friends and each year it is lovingly put up keeping her in mind.

    Thank you Sarasan. Those books you see in the third pic...lined below the crib are all books with the word "Christmas' in the title. They are not Christmas stories...just have the word in the title.

    Christmas is a special time it is time for festivities, carol singing, sharing of gifts and homemade sweets most important families.

    This year I have decorated our tree with homemade decorations and a small crib bought from Jerusalem during our pilgrimage this year.
