It is so nice to read about your Elai sappadu There can be a mentor unless you put in equal effort, Shobana. Thanks a ton!
Chitramma, I have a doubt, i made Aappam today outer layer was good, but the center portion has turned bit like rubbery :hide:...Still having some more batter, can i do anything else to correct it...Is this because of rice quality or ...whaatsmiley Thank you ...
Did you allow it to ferment very well?? Was the batter thick?? If no to the above, add fruit salt & try.
Hi Chitramma, U know i was so happy to see the middle portion of the aappam raised fluffy and it is very soft/spongy.... Thank you 1000 times :thankyou2: Actually the problem was the batter has not got fermented well:bonk, again i kept outside for some time , as per your suggestion and it turned so good... Your Student Magee:Bow:
Thanks. I make double the amount of aappam batter, ferment for 24 hrs & freeze half. Sometimes even after a month, take it out, thaw & use. aappam will be fabulous!

Hi cithra aunty, I have some doubts in baking please clarify my doubts..... 1. I use MW with convection mode for baking. The cakes and cookies are very nice but the cake is bit sticky on outer side the next day and the cookies lost its crunchiness even though i stored in air tight container. what to do for that? 2. which oven is best for baking either OTG or MW? 3. I tried bread with 'bluebird brand yeast' but the dough didn't doubled at all and it was waste. what should i do for that? Is the process for fermenting yeast is different for dry yeast and active yeast? Thanks, Geetha
