    Magee,
I buy a carton of about 10 or 15 sachets of regular Eno from the medical shop . When it is about to finish, I buy another carton. Regular flavor is not available sometimes. Don't buy in bottle, it gets into lumps. Sachet is better, no wasting.

    Dear Chithra,
just had vattayappam. Had been wanting to make it since I tasted it at your place (it has been years). Now that Aravindh is here and reaches home after 6 most of the days, he needs small eats before dinner. He does not prefer sweets/savories/cakes. So am looking for other healthy and tasty options and tried this today. He loved it and me too. It tasted a little like the thanni kozhakkattai. My batter was a tad thin, I think. Should it be like idli batter? Also oats oothappam, cutlet, thavaladai etc. are on the list.
Made milagu kuzhambu and paruppu thogayal today for lunch, had a super lunch. Once in a while, cleansing the stomach this way is good. I have made the powder about a cup so that I can use it for aval, rasam and vegetable also. I use it for pudalankai, tastes food. For rasam I add dhania powder also along with this. All in one powder, thank you.

Yes, Varloo, idli batter consistency should be OK.
I too keep stock of that powder & "multi-use" it as you write, judiciously!!

    Dear Chithra,
Made varagu pongal and brinjal gotsu for breakfast today. Was so good . The gotsu was easy, with besan for solidifying. Want to try bread, instant yeast became old. Will have to buy dry yeast and try. Pending for a long time.

    Dear C

Resumed my baking again finally after a very long hiatus.
And started with the basics - white bread..it was so soft I did not have the heart to even cut it...
my family said it tasted just like the ones in bakery :)

    here is the pic :)

    Thanks, Varloo.
Always refrigerate yeast. You get 100 gms vacuum packed sachets in Venus Agencies.

    Dear Vidya,
It is so nice to see you after quite some time & that too with an amazing feedback with photo!!
The bread looks absolutely like a bakery product, tempting anyone to grab it!! Great going, Vidya!!
