    dearest chitra mami

tonight couldnt decide for a long time what to make. little one down with cold, cough, fever. so general mood is low and very hectic as well. finally decided to make marundu rasam, carrot curry and keerai sundal. it turned out to be very soul comforting. the rasam powder promptly went in the fridge. wow what a yummy taste with the ginger and the kandanthippili and the garlic. i am determined to try out every single of those rasams u got out there.

Nisha, first thanks for links!! Induslady insists on it!:)
Not only you, quite a few people have a strong prejudice against keerai!
V was one such person & I really had to try hard to make him eat the same! But if it is keerai mulagootal, he loves it!:)
Milk phulka goes great with any form of palak!!
    Thanks, Nisha.
    Love,
    Chithra.

Thanks, Sakshi. Hope you have smooth sailing with your delivery around the corner.
The flavour of alu methi is what makes the dish so special.
Good that you enjoyed the newyear party!
Pumpkin cooking with dhal is a very 'resourceful' tip, if I can put it that way!!
Please take care & relax, now that you write countdown has begun!
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear CC,
flu seems to be as common there as it is in our country.
As a doctor, you must be knowing that
    Langanam is parama oushadam!
Good that R takes charge of cooking when you are unwell! Thank God for such mercies.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Hi Chitra madam,

Though I am a silent reader,I tried most of ur recipes and achieved good results. Thanks alot for all ur help and effort for beginners like me.

I have to ask u one doubt.I read somewhere that while preparing sambar,we should use sambar powder according to the number of people to be served.ie;for 3 people 3 tsp of sambar powder and for 6,6 tsps should be used.Does it really work always?

    love and regards,
    Deepthy
