    Dear chithramam,

I prepared carrot poricha kuzhambu yesterday without onions and garlic and what u said was right my hubby was drinking just like that and finished half. The coconut milk enhances the taste of the recepie. Next time i will try it with onions and garlic.

    Dear Chitra mam,

"vanakam". beetroot paratha cameout very well.Actually, im searching for different type of parathas as i need to cook more of wheat than rice for health reasons. I was stunned on seeing the huge list on IL recipesection. I will try all your dishes from time to time and will post the result also.

Here, iam sharing one more version of paratha for all our roti lovers.
Knead the dough as usual. Apply some ghee or little oil on rolled chapathis, sprinkle in a pinch of redchillipowder and garammasala. Spread it and cut it in to small square pieces {like burfi cutting} arrange the cut pieces like a tower and roll it again and fry this on bothsides as usual. simple, spisy roti is ready now! Thankyou!

    your crazy fan,
    sadhana.

Since Vish does not eat onions and garlic , I always make without them. I feel, it is the pepper-coconut combo taste which makes it so inviting!!
    Love,
    Chithra.

PS, first thanks for understanding that I have missed "iinadvertently". Infact, on reading your second FB, I thought its' a long time since I made MW jeera rice.
Rajma makes a great side-dish with it.
The first carrot rice is more traditional & suitable for oldies like me!! :)
    Thanks, PS.
    Love,
    Chithra.
