    Hello Mrs. C

Made Milagu Aval today for breakfast. Another easy recipe from you. Adding Pepper-Jeera powder instead of chillies gave a nice color and aroma. We loved it.

    Thanks & Regards

    Anti splatter.

    Hi Mrs.C,

Yesterday, got one from Walmart and it has already joined in my cooking!!

Normally, would use some plate, but, it always overflows or the steam used to flow through the sides; not only that, the oil & haldi stains really spoiled my old backsplash. Now that, had replaced with a new one, was very much concerned.

Anyhow, thanks for introducing me at the right time becoz, I was visiting that shop, section and was literally seeing it all these times. Somehow, did not notice and now, got that becoz of you.

    Good job..

    R.

I have a long list of fbs to be given to you.....I made jiffy carrot sadam with fruit raitha....jiffy carrot sadam was very mild and nice ..a very innovative way to use up the carrots....

Also made aloo parathas with fruit raitha 2 days back..the Aloo parathas were really big...when i was rolling it it became bigger bigger and bigger !!! they were very thin and yummy......Fruit raitha went along with it very well and you can see that i am now making FR regularly for almost all dishes that i can !!!

Yday made phulkas with Baingan bartha...BB was just toooooo delicious and made a damn good combo with phulkas and thachi mammu !!!

    Re: Anti splatter.

    Dear Rama,
This anti splatter allows steam to evaporate which is a big advantage. I got the biggest size to cover even broad vessels. It can be cleaned with soap oil very easily.
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Sowmi,
If my alu paratha instructions are properly followed. you do get it very thin. Right, fruit raitha is ideal to go with it.
Now that big brinjals have started arriving in the market in plenty, BB is an ideal side dish for brinjal lovers like me.
    Thanks, Sowmi.
    Love,
    Chithu.

    sago khichdi

    Hi NS,
I made sago khichdi. The sago quality wasn't good,so it wasn't very tasty but still it came out well.

I think for sago recipes,we need good quality sago.

    Dear Chitra,
Yes, I repeat, good quality sago is a must for all sago dishes.
There is one variety called "mavu javvarisi" which just disintegrates in water. That is ideal only for karuvadam!
    Love,
    Chithra.

    Dear Chithra,
made greens oothappam for breakfast, did the chopping and mixing batter in FB itself with chopper blade. Just so easy. I added the minced green chilli and ginger and I loved this taste very much than plain green chillies. yes, I have started mincing green chillies and ginger and preserving, thanks for the tips.
