Do you know of a school that will either allow an 8th std student to take French, or would allow an 8th std student to study beginning Tamil individually and be tested individually? We want to relocate to Chennai, but my 12 year old will NOT be able to take any course in an Indian language at the regular 8th std level.
You should call up schools and ask them. Enquire in international schools. As far as CBSE schools are concerned, I think till 10th, they need 2nd langage and till 8th, they have to take a 3rd language as well. In ICSE or matric schools, they may have French as second language in 8th. It differs from school to school. Please call the school directly. First hand information is always better.
