    Hi All,

    Could you please tell me whether it is allowed to carry rice to canada? we are departing from USA to canada this week.. just planning to take one kg so that it is available for the first day.

    Are you going for a wilderness experience away from civilization?
    Is this some special American rice?​
    If you are flying into a city, and renting a car to drive into the wilderness, you can easily stop in any local grocery store, and get bags of rice.
    Canadian Tire stores (sort of like American Auto parts stores) are diversified into foods and small appliances also. You can buy both rice and rice cookers there. Rice & Multi-Cookers | Canadian Tire

    I didn't think the OP wanted to know about Canada Customs regulations on American Rice. <in fact, one can take food items from USA to Canada, except a few kinds of meats>. Canadian supermarkets in small towns are more cosmopolitan than US supermarkets even in larger cities. And Rice (both regular, as well as wild) is easy to find everywhere.
