Can't light Agarbatti at Home due to smoke alarm

Ladies,

I am excited to perform Varalakshmi Vratam at Home.
But the problem is the only place i have to perform the vratam in my kitchen due to lack of place. When i light the Agarbatti in my home the alarm beeps. This is irratating me. It kind of makes me feel like the puja is incomplete.
Can somebody please suggest me any ideas?

hi,

try to keep the balcony door open or if the alarm is very near the kitchen then take the battery off from the unit until u finish the pooja

Or you can just put a towel on top of the alarm to cover it

Cover the smoke sensor with something, through which smoke cannot pass through. Otherwise, switch off the smoke sensor, if possible or you can switch off the power supply in your mains, if that does not trouble you or affect you sentimentally.
