Sure. but I was addressing Jey's thread; as written, the OP refers to "help" and "answer", which are both a tad bit different from "respond", "appreciate" and "bring presents"! Re: Haircuts - maybe you should first consult Macron and Trudeau!
OK. There's limited space in the title of widget. So Unrepsonded in place of Unanswered will make you respond? Word-check is cribbing for Unresponded above. A close call choosing between the two. Unanswered brings up help/answer request, Unresponded brings up evite type of thing.
Possibly - why not? Phrasing to elicit desired reponses is a routine trick used by pollsters, for example. Yes, but I was referring to the Original Post. I'm a strict constructionist, original intent 'n all that. Next thing I know, you'll want to finesse the Second Amendment and take my guns away - not even from my cold dead hands, lady!
I was thinking more like taking away the pen? Mightier than the gun and all that? Or, notwithstanding myself not being a guru, taking away an Ekalavya-esque right thumb? So no pressing <Enter> key? : ) : )
@sokanasanah @Rihana The word "unanswered" doesn't quite address all the scenarios. But the basic idea is to get atleast a response to every new thread that is started in our community. For those fiction/snippet type threads, a single thoughtful feedback would be enough to make the OP feel well-received and get it out of that box.
One of the reasons for not seeing the box (which I don't today) could be that there are none left 'unanswered' or 'unresponded' as the case may be . Which means (grammatically wrong start to a sentence and incomplete sentence follows) the purpose of this thread has been so far realized???
You don't see the "Unanswered Threads" widget? I am seeing it with a full box of 10 threads. It shows up only when you are logged in. I shared a screenshot a few messages above. Can you check and confirm you are not seeing it?
