I usually store the leftover chappatis in an airtight container in the fridge. Next day wrap them in a moist cloth napkin and heat in microwave oven.Same for hard bread.
Yes u can reheat the chapathis but sprinkle little water before heating and they will be soft as freshly made.
Yes you can, just 40 to 50 seconds. They become like freshly made and soft. If you keep it for more time, it will become like pappad.
I wrap them in thick napkin ( hand towel) which is slightly moist ( sometimes just dry if too lazy to moisten it) and then microwave them for 30 to 40 seconds. Works well. If by chance they become hard then i make roti nu shak from them. Just do a tadka of mustard jeera hing curry leaves in oil and put pieces( nacho shaped) of hard rotis in it and stir the pieces until crisp.turn off the stove. At the time of eating turn on the stove again on low heat and add flavoured buttermilk ( sour curd + water+ dhania powder+jeera powder+salt +sugar+ garlic, ginger and chilli paste) to the rotis and stir continuously so that buttermilk does not curdle . Once it bubbles add coriander leaves and serve hot. Its tastes sour , sweet and salty and hot at the same time and is quite yummy.
