can we pursue higher studies on H1B1 visa

    hello
    AS my friends hubby is going to California on H1B1 visa.he is interested to study there on part time bases.can anyone of you pls inform me
    1.if we can study with this visa
    2.how much will it cost
    3.how to apply
    4.which university is good
    5.as he is an MSC.; in electronics he is planning to do M.S there
    are there any sites which give details about this
    sorry too many ??????
    pls help me with the details

    Hi Dasika,

    Do you meant studying with Job or independently? Since your friend's DH is coming in H1B, he will need to have employer to maintain H1 status. Most of the universities allows part time courses with H1B but if by any chance he is not able to maintain H1, he will not be able to continue here.

    Regarding fee, it's depends on university and course..my DH applied for Rutger University and I guess fee was 40K/Year for executive MBA..i have no idea about west coast.

    To apply, he will need to browse universities website and may ask them to send information book.
