Please message me if any of you ladies willing to provide QA training online for a total non-IT person. Preferably from USA. Need to discuss basic concerns in detail.

I will not be able to give a training as such, but ask me specific questions and I will try to help if I know.

    You can register in
https://www.usertesting.com/b/ where they will send you live projects.

But go for some class if possible. Look for someone who can teach you locally. When you are not from IT background and with a gap,it is difficult to get a kick start when we try to do it out own.

@justanothermom, is the user testing website you mentioned genuine and does it really pay. Do we need any technical skills to to the projects in this website in order to get paid.

you can ask me any questions that you may have. I have managed SQA teams. There are many types of SQA jobs - Mobile app testing, website testing, backend testing, UI testing, api testing, etc. Some require programming skills and knowledge of testing software.

There is a book Called "Software Testing" by Paul Jogensen. You can start with that.

I don't know @abc00, I have a friend who used to work with utest and she was paid by them.
Now, for timebeing I think you should not worry about how much its going to pay it. Consider that as experience you are getting. Even for usertesting or utest ( i am not sure if they are same) you will need to know the basic knowledge like, understanding the requirement, identifying a bug and how to report them, what information you need to include while you reporting a bug, taking screenshots.

abc00, key is, decide one career that you think you can do it and just start doing it. If you need to get external helps, then get it, even if you have to spare few $$'s from your pocket.
