Hi to all the above dubai ladies, I have tried to get the above names from new to the forum thread. All these ladies including me, we live in and around dubai. I just thought why dont we all meet up or have you all met each other already and i didnt see that thread. I tried to search as much as i can but there was no thread about meeting of dubai ladies anywhere. If there is, please redirect me.
I was just thinking why dont we do some or all of the following things that i have listed down:
1) Meet regularly, once in a month in a common place where we can sit and discuss/chat etc
2) Can i suggest to form like a kitty party, if you all agree.
3) Can we exchange books/magazine etc and maintain a book like a mobile library of IL
4) I was just thinking may be we can share our problems/queries/worries, things that you hesitate to put on the net or to chat regarding our regional schools, hospitals, office, etc, etc....
5) Just one or 2 hours max in a month cant we get out of our routine and meet, just like taking a break from our routine.

I hope i didnt write anything wrong, please bare withme, aboveall people are in burdubai, karama,diera, sharjah border etc, so iam sure we should make it.

Looks like you missed my name (just kidding) . I had not visited the site in ages. So did you all have the meet and how did it go?Do you all meet up regularly. Do let me know when you all are meeting next. I live in burdubai. Your suggestions are great and its a lovely way of networking if you are working from home.

I would like to organise a IL meet for UAE members (good idea to bring in the children as well), but somehow it does not seem to happen. Now, I am inclined to try again. Please let me know the convenient time and date, so we can discuss further.

Hi Usha,
Thats a lovely idea count me in.Did the previous meet happen? I had gone to india in december n from then on had just not had time to check on Indus Ladies. Well i am back now and would like to interact with the forums and members.
Do tell me what's your role as local champion? Its so nice to see that we have so many ladies from dubai in this community and i guess as a local champion we get to interact thru u also right?
It would be wonderful if we can all meet inspite of busy schedules .
will be in touch and glad to have seen ur post.

Hey Preethi, Usha and Sowmi,

Thanks for your responses.. Lets wait until the end of the month to see how many responses we get and then we shall fix up a convenient date by beginning of May and set-up a meeting.. what do you guys say? We have to meet.. be it just the 4 of us or more.. actually more the better.. so, lets wait until the end of this month and then set up a meeting for all the Dubai Indus women who are interested in this venture..

Dear Sylvia,
As you suggest, let us wait till month end...we will make one more effort to pm a few members (may be we can split 10 members each) and give it another try.
On Christmas, we had an IL meet (Sowmya Raman, Swetha-my daughter and myself). Hope this time, it will have more participation.
One request: We have to do this on Friday/ Saturday, so working members (like me!!)
can come as well

alrite ladies,

Shall we block our calendars for the 16th May (friday) or 17th May (Saturday) for the meet.. we can decide on the venue and time closer to the date..

Do you guys suggest that we meet with kids or without kids.. if its a problem leaving kids behind, then we can meet with kids.. lemme know..

WOW! this is getting exciting.. I am really looking forward to it.. Hope we get more ladies on the loop..

I would say friday ( May 16th ), as some people might work on saturdays as well. Even with me certain saturdays I need to be at office for few hours. So fridays would be more suitable.

Anyways lets pool in suggestions from everybody.

Yes its indeed a great idea and the plans are going ahead. Sowmi we will wait till you are back. I am a full time mum right now with my daughter just starting school in KG 1.
