    Dear Gowri,

Thanks a lot for the info! Will try to make it this year atleast for the festival. What with the baseball classes for my children, not sure.

So, if you get a chance to go there, please take lots of pictures and post them here, so that we can all enjoy them. :)

Enjoying all of your pictures and poems, Krithika, Gowri and Shubha..

Krithika, I think the tree with white flowers must be the plum tree.(flowering tree)..even in my house the flower looks the same as yours..

    Thanks a lot BharKavi!

So, you think it is the plum tree? But it does not bear any fruits later on.

Moreover, if you notice, these flowers start blooming even before the leaves could sprout. :)

The flowers are in full bloom now, but by mid-spring, the flowers fall off and the tree is full of green leaves. That's it..it stays that way throughout the summer and the colour changes only during late fall.

The uniqueness of this tree is that the flowers bloom before the leaves. So, not sure still...

    Thanks for the info! :hiya

I think it might be dogwood...check online and see if that is it. If it is, you have a magnificent tree as usually they are really small.

I was snowed in three months this winter and I am REALLY REALLY happy spring is here (although we had a dusting of snow last night!)

    Happy Spring Everyone!!!
