Hi ladies, am from South India and planning to visit Dubai on a short vacation this month end. I have been listening to people that Dubai is a best place to buy gold. Can somebody tell me wat is special in buying gold there? Is it the price or the quality? Also would appreciate if u can give suggestions on the jewellery store that i should look for. Dear Gvk, Greetings, Gold in dubai is preferred for its purity and there is no hidden cost. And you will see jewellery made out of 18/21/22/24 carat in almost all the shops and corresponding rate/gram. The cost will be the gold rate + making charge and there is not VAT or other charges like our place. You have the choice of indian, singapore, turkish, baharaini designs (the making charge will differ on the jewellery you choose) too.
