Buying Gold - Chennai or Abu Dhabi

Hi all

I would like to know information regarding buying gold jewels. Can any one tell me whether Chennai or Abu Dhabi is the right place to buy gold. I would like to know in terms of quality, design, exchange facilities( I mean in future if we want exchange), and things like that.

Also please also tell me which shops are best to purchase gold in both these places.

I think in general Abu Dhabi/Dubai is a better option when it comes to buying gold.

Pricewise there is not much of a difference in India or Auh, but the gold here is much more purer.
Not to forget the unique varity of designs... be it Abu Dhabi/Meena Bazar (Dubai) or the gold souq in Deira.
I think exchanging or reselling shold not be a problem if you have proper bills/purity certificates for the gold coins/bars.

I am not aware abt the Chennai gold shops, but here the popluar ones are Atlas Jwlry, Joy Alukkas, D Damas & Pure Gold.

hi mallie, gold in abudhabi more desing , especillay al haseena jewellery nice fancy models, here the problem is making charge they put 6dhs per gram , that only little more costly, in chennai we have to reduce making charege like that prices, here no way.
for exchange uae gold is best.

Hi all,

Buying gold in UAE is much better when compared to India in terms of quality and not in price. Price it is almost same everywhere, not much of a difference. however, quality wise it is certainly better here, India's 22 carat is equivalent to UAE's 18 carat. Also, if you buy in Joy Alukkas exchanging if required is possible in India as they do have branches in India.
