Buddies Required!!! Lose a Kg a month -July 2015

    Hi friends, welcome all to July journey!
    2015 ... seems to be a great challenge for me in multiple aspects. The reason I am sticking myself here is to keep myself motivated and motivate other friends along the way to lead a healthy life style.

    I pledge myself to keep my head rise , keep myself active, to the best I can possibly do.

    I am raising some challenges to mold my habits this month.
    If you are interested , join us...
    Let us be a good role model for our next generation.
    Nowadays, losing weight seems to be the toughest job in my case. so many factors pulling me down. My only aim this month is to rise away from all defending factors and put my step just few inches forward from where I am right now.

    I know it is possible, if I show dedication. Join us if u are ready to spread the same.

    Team 1- 50 to 55 kg
    Team 2- 55 to 60 kg
    Team 3- 60 to 65 kg
    Team 4- 65 to 70 kg
    Team 5- 70 to 75 kg
    Team 6- above 75kg

    Let us place ourselves in correspoding teams and push us forward.

    July 31 st target- 132 pounds

    challenges:
    light dinner
    mini morning workouts
    breathing exercies

    I chose the above challenges based on where I need to put extra effort to reach my target. messing up with dinners, skipping morning routines which weakens my metabolic rate, sleeping not enough and lacking quality sleep, along with irregular breathing practises makes me worse with respect to weight loss and other health conditions.

    personally, i think by following the above chalenges will improve my over all life quality. Thanks for the support.

    Hi @sridevi1977: Im new to this forum!!!
    I fall under team 5 :(
    As i have not followed this post from prev months.. can u tell about ur weight?n what n all u do to reduce it in this month??wat plans???

    To start with:
    My weight (Jul-1)= 73 kgs

    What I do :
    1. daily walking for 20 min..
    2. avoid junk(chaats!!) to the max...
    Im a die hard fan of pani puri!!!! cant distance myself away from it for long :(
    other junks i can avoid.. but pani puri....excuse me!!!
    3. reduced the intake of rice..i cant avoid it though...
    4. drink 3 lit waters min..
    5. dont take sweets...not a fan!!!
    6. reduced sugar intake..except for morning coffee... :) hehehe :)
    7. overall reduced the food quantity..
    8. in between food if i feel hungry i go for nuts(they always stay in my desk drawer.. so munch n work!!!is my mantra)
    9. take stairs atleast once in office n once at home..
    10. started to get into bus from 3 stops ahead..so cardio done!!!

    about me:
    i work in IT..I have a baby..one year old.. (thats the reason of my weight gain..!!!maternity!!!!! :) ) stay in a joint family so don get time for any workout or yoga..some years back i used to workout n do yoga also..
    now with post preg weight n joint family to add on stress n job...i don find time for myself....

    light dinner- done

    diet- good
    exercise- outdoor walking, 20 mins abs, BBM day50

    July 2:
    light dinner- done
    mini morning workouts- not done
    breathing exercises- done

    diet:
    moong sundal,banana
    cucumber salad, 2 chapati, okra curry,watermelon
    tea
    1 chapati, okra curry,soup

    exercise- nil
    sick today and slowly resume once I can.

    Was waiting for this thread to open so that I could join you guys from this month :)

    Name- Akila
    Team- 5
    July 1st- 74.8 kgs
    July 31 st target- 73.8 kgs

    challenges:
    [FONT=Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif]Early Dinner - finish by 7 pm.[/FONT]
    Exercise - Something everyday :)

    My trouble is late dinner, though I eat light, having it late and going to sleep immediately is only adding to my waistline, so my focus is going to be on early dinner. Exercise wise, I want to do at least a 10-20 mins of workout/walk everyday. There are days when I walk 13 kms (weekends) but weekdays (school days for kids) are my weak-days wherein I do not put much effort into workouts. This month I have registered for bodysculpt classes twice a week :)

    Divya, welcome to the group. I am a mom of two. non IT work. I was fit after my first delivery and fell into over weight category after my second one and staying there for 7 years...
    I always cook healthy food for me and my family, workout 5 to 6 days in a week, ( from 30 mns to 1 hr+)
    drink 3 ltrs of water a day

    I struggle to keep stress level under control, the major cause for my body's reaction. thats why I never leave IL which is my strong support system, without this group, I might have reached obese at this point.

    Nice to know about you.
    What we are aiming is not impossible, but definitely not easy also. Atleast I am trying to prove my guts that it is possible for me to make it happen. one small step in right direction, will help in the long run.

    keep us posted about your body sculpt days..
    I have enrolled in Bikini Body Mommy 90 days challenge. currently going half way through. along with that, i do some walking/ yoga on week ends, and ab workouts depending upon the time and energy I have. some days, I will be hyper. some days I will be very weak... keeping my cardio kick boxing and hot yoga classes in hold until I get approval from my doctors.
    I will go by what my body tells me. Good luck to reach your target this month.
