The most happiest moment in a woman's life is when she becomes a mother. A woman feels very happy when she becomes a mother, especially those who get children after many years of praying and struggling.

After becoming a mother her responsiblity increases. She has to take care of her husband as well as her child. After her child is born she gives more importance in bringing up the child. Just becoming a mother is not enough she has to bring up her chidlren in such a way that one day the child makes her proud . It is not what you leave to your children. It is what you leave in your children.

From the time they are born each year they change a lot. We have to be strict with them as well as affectionate. If we give up for whatever they ask they become very adamant. Parents play a major role in laying a strong foundation totheir child.

I read somewhere that the chid's best Academy is a mother's lap and that home is the most important place of learning and parents are the most important teaches. First they learn everything at home then only in school.

Now a days there are so many different ways of teaching children. There are so many CDs with Rhymes, alphabets, numbers etc which can be put and shown to the children. Intead of watching something else they can watch these CDs and learn everything. When they have interview for admission in school this will help them a lot.

Children like to hear stories while going to bed and we can tell them stories where there are good morals from which they can learn something and put it into practice. Before they join school we can utilise the time spent at home productively.

Children are very observant and they learn from the parents only everything. We should see that they have good friends and the atmosphere where they grow should be a good one.

Later when they shine in life and make the parents proud, its the parents who are very happy that they have done something for the children

Very nice Vijiakka! You are right. It is proven that the a large percent of what children learn are in the first five years! And it is the mother who is the first teacher! We have such an huge role to play and it is a privilege! Not only should we teach reading, writing but also values in life; how to be confident yet not be arrogant, how to be humble yet not submissive, how to talk, how to walk and how treat others with respect irrespective of their age, caste, creed, social status etc. How to be responsible citizens today and a how to be great leaders tomorrow!
