    Hi Saroj

    First of all, thanks a million for posting these lovely hairdos. Saroj, I love hair styles and do not like if anybody leaves their hair open for a party / wedding reception or any occasions. Rather I would love to see them in a beautiful knot. Even many celebrities incl. Aishwarya, Kareena, Shilpa etc. always leave their hair open and wavy. I am so tired of seeing them in the same way always.

    I want to learn hair styling / knots. I checked with my beauty saloon lady also, but not many available here, as 1) Arabic ladies keep their hair covered, 2) Modern ladies of any nationality like to have short for easy maintenance and to withstand the harsh and sultry summer here. 3) Some traditional South Indian ladies have long hair but plait it in the old fashion, 4) Some Philippinos or other nationalities who have little longer hair, prefer to leave it open straightened and ironed.

    I had long below waist length hair until few years after wedding, but now I cut and have short hair and tie with a clip. For my wedding reception, I checked with the Saloon then in Chennai (very few were there at that time) (Only Kanya in Luz a name to remember), but they did not have any design idea for long hair. So I put a Kunjalam in a matching color to my Saree and put a chutti...... that's it :cry:. Now many many new ideas coming up every season.

    Do you know where and how can I take some lessons on hair knots?

    Ya me too now and then come up with knotty ideas,had tried them onto my niece.
    Now there are reputed teaching centres have flourished(Vasunthra,another one in Mylapore..Maha beauty parlour)
    Heard these two lads coaches well in hair styes.Please try out their outlets.
