    If you have tamil speaking friends, then it will be more better to start from them... books can help you for betterment dear.

    Hi...I feel TV is the best way to learn if you dont have Tamizh friends.
    I think tamizh movies would be helpful. Also watch any reality shows or I think any program would do.
    Also the duration of learning depends on your mother tongue too.
    If your mother tongue is close to Tamizh then you can learn very easily.
    This is my humble opinion. You can try other things too :blush:
