This news had really made me so upset, being a mother of 3 yr kid.

I personally feel that TTD should take proper care of devotees atleast rather than their belongings which needs to be taken care by ourselves. The reason why i am mentioning here is last week i went to Tirupati for Lord balaji darshan. We thought being a tuesday it would not be much crowd, but there was a huge lot of crowd. It took 7 hours for us to make our exit.

That too it took 5 hours for us to reach the ticket counter area, and we have taken rs 300 tickets eventhough it was a very tough time for us to see the Lord.

Finally my dad has lost his purse when he came out he realised this and after that there is no use in complaining so we did not lodge a complaint. Its ofcourse our mistake of negligence on our belongings, i accept it. But the serious issue here is there is no safety for kids and ourselves sometimes. Because while entering and exiting we can find a large crowd crushing us literally and we find hard enough to breathe itself.

What is my opinion is to make any serious change on the system itself first. So can u pls pour urs ideas which makes the devotees to visit Tirupati easily and safely.

My suggestion is - the TTD can make a Devasthanam Branch for each state under its direct control and make them to issue a certain amount of tickets per day, say for example for TN - only 10000 tickets per day. This should be done through network between the TTD employees. After 10000 tickets sold out the counter should be closed or should give tickets for the next day quota. Likewise they can give tickets day wise from each state.

So for devotees, there is no other go. as they need to wait till their turn (ie their dates) so this can avoid frequent visits and huge crowd.

I do not know whether it is applicable, but sought of this can really be useful for ppl. Atleast the TTD can form a group and discuss abt the method of darshan in future.

If u IL ppl have any ideas pls write up....

Of late, there is nothing positive that is coming from Tirupati/ Tirumala.

VIP schemes delays thousands of people, cottages are usurped by authorities and crooks, money can break the customs and traditions and what not.

The Lord is present in any of the 108 dhivya deshams, so my humble opinion is that instead of praying him at Tirupati alone, people can visit and contribute to the rest of the temples.

Yes what u are saying is 100 percent true! if u notice many ancient temples are not being maintained properly due to lack of funds. As you said if ppl scattered and visit those temples atleast those temples will transform into better condition.

The darshan of Lord Balaji holds a very strong nad holy place in every heart. But I do wonder as you said why cant scenarios improve? VIPs end up having good darshans whereas the common man who is there with a genuine reason has to wait for hours/days to get just a "glimpse" of the Lord.

TTD is fully aware of the increasing crowds in Tirumala. If proper and better facilities are not provided, slowly this beautiful and holy spot will lose its divinity.

There is too much of commercialisation of religion. What can we do to improve the security? I have not visited Tirupati in many years, I dont know what suggestion I can make to improve the facilities.

yes, we are waiting for long long hours, even rs.300 ticket (8-10 hours sometimes more than that) to lord dharshan, but its only for few seconds. y separate 'q' for vips. is this god's wish and told to make separate 'q' for vips/rich people.

TTD, made some schedules for VIP dharshan, weekly twice or thrice with specific time. VIP visit only that specific time and days. If vip comes suddenly whenever they feel free/comfort to visit thirupathi, ttd people suddenly stops moving line of the free dharsha, 300 rs. ticket people and others, these people have to wait for long long hours. Other than VIP everyone is suffering.

My dad used to be a sincere follower of Lord Venkatasa and particular about visiting Tirupathi on New year's day. My mom saved 'Undiyal' money to buy the special dharisanam tickets to expedite the visit. It was like, 2-in-1 deal - instead of putting money into Undiyal, used for buying tickets.

The more, I see the commercialized temples like Tirupathi/Sabarimala, I am slowly loosing faith in visiting temples. Lately, I became one of those, 'veedae sorgam vasalae vaikuntam' (Where ever I reside, God is with me). After spending so many hours in waiting, and seeing the dharisanam for few minutes, makes me wonder about the purpose of the visit. I will rather pray peacefully/leisurely at home. --- JMO

Even i saw this news.. Praying that his parents will find him soon..

Tirupati.. During my childhood have heard my friends and relatives mentioning abt Balaji Dharashan @ Tirupati with lots of bhakthi and happiness.. So when i came to bangalore for work, planned with some of my friends and went Tirupati.. We took that special darshan ticket and was eagerly waiting for the darshan all along the long queue.. As we were entering ppl were pushing and squeezing us like anything and somehow we entered inside.. And the queue was moving and ppl pushing still continued and some small fights in seeing the God.. Guards were pulling ppl saying "Jarugandi Jarugandi".. I too was pushed by the crowd and pulled by the guard.. suddenly, my friend said me where are u looking turn right and have darshan of Balaji, that is when i realised that i was abt to move and finally had the micro-second darshan of balaji..

I was wondering was the long wait for hours is only for this micro-second darshan.. To say, during the first visit i cudnt even recall how Balaji was.. Went again with family and thank Balaji, i was already prepared for this push-pull and had a clear darshan..

As Freddycat has mentioned, i too feel the temple is becoming more commercial..
