Can anyone recommend good books that you may have read on Improving Positive Attitude and "I can do it" thinking.

I've read one a long time ago - "Thinking Big" was the book.

    Any recommendations appreciated.

I am not a big fan of motivational "you can do it" style books but I did enjoy reading
    Happiness is a choice
by Barry Kaufman, because it does not read like a protocol manual :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Hi, I strongly suggest "Power of positive thinking" by Dr.Vincent Norman Peale. It is such a
wonderful book which if read and if the contents are absorbed will transform you into a
great positive thinker who find atleast one positive thing in all that happens to you.
"Monk who sold his Ferrari" by Robin Sharma helps you unleash the potential in you which
you might not have thought existed in you."You can win" by shiv Kera is another wonderful book
that helps you learn if you say YOU CAN,you can.But you have to keep in mind that, these books are
not for mere reading.Once read you have to think about the facts stated and have to understand how
you can put those principles into practice.Reading a book wont make us a different person,
you have to practice it:) Let me know how you find these books.

    Spiderman1:

Like amihere mentioned Norman vincent Peale has written a few of books on Positve thinking, Postive thinking with Imaging, etc

And then, Joel Osteen and Anthony Robbins are other authors who have books on 'Life changing' tools.

The only other book I can think of is Mind - Relax Please - by Swami Sukhbodananda.

Again like Amihere mentioned the suggestions in these books have to be followed for sometime for it become a habit and thereby effective.:)

    Hi Spiderman,
IMO, reading about people that lead inspired lives can also inspire and elevate:
    Some titles:
    1. The Boy who harnessed the wind
    2. Banker to the poor
    3. Marie Curie: A Life by Susan Quinn

Of course the gita and swami chinmayananda's books are also very relevant.

    1. Who Moved My Cheese? - Spencer Johnson (A short and sweet book that stayed on the NY times bestseller list for FIVE years!)

    2. Jonathan Livingston Seagull - Richard Bach (No rules here just a highly motivating story beautifully told. One of my favorites!)

The reason I like these books is because they are not preachy. They are stories and the reader is left to draw his or her own conclusions and derive inspiration from them.

    Hi,

My favourite book on this subject is "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey.
