Re: Black Tulips: The Dark hour -Episode 3

    Few Years Ago:

‘Will you marry me’? Will this beautiful lady give me the opportunity to make her my queen? Holding Indira’s hand and on his knees, Akshay asked her on their day of MBA Graduation. With the biggest smile on her face, Indira said yes and Akshay lifted her up in joy. A whirlwind romance, a fun filled wedding and a lavish Honeymoon.

Everything was rosy for a while but once back to reality, high profile careers took a toll on their married life. Their relation could not sustain the institution of marriage. Never having time to spend with each other and the ladder of success beckoning both of them left no time for making their marriage a success.

Both amicably separated and were now focusing on their careers. Today, Indira kept herself so busy with work and other opportunities, she never noticed love, or its needs. Solitude has been her only companion. .

All these thoughts were flooding her mind, when the nasty weather also calmed down. As there was light in the room now, she sat in front of the dressing table. She sat there, still, not moving. What happened a few moments back? Why did she not want it to stop? She tossed and turned the whole night in bed, many a fantasies disturbing her through the night.

At dawn, she wrapped her shawl and was looking at misty weather from her cottage balcony when she saw him sitting in the garden looking at her cottage. An external force had pulled her to the balcony but she could not retrace her step and go back. With still expression on their face, both kept staring at each other.
Indiras gaze was broken by a doorbell of the morning tea and paper. She hurriedly took both and shut the door and came back to the balcony. But he was not there.

She was missing him. She could not deny the fact despite of umpteen tries of chiding herself. She kept looking at her mobile but no messages.

There were instances during the hectic day when their eyes met for brief seconds and got back to their work.
The quietness as though nothing happened was troubling her. After dinner she was again in her balcony when she saw him in the garden.
“Can we talk?”…..Beep went his mobile. For the first time she had replied to him. For Harsh this reply was music to the ears. “Just waiting here for u” came a reply.

Indira went to the garden with a little agitation of scolding him but before she could start he put a finger on her lips. “ I don’t know how that happened yesterday but whatever happened was the best thing that has ever happened to me”. His fingers on her lips as if sealed all that she had decided to say. She just stood there staring at him.

Just a little away, the new recruits had organised a little campfire with the help of some security guards and were playing all sorts of games. Both joined the campfire sitting opposite but their attentions were neither on the fire nor on the games. They were just looking at each other.
