Poster as in its made of paper???
Have you taken a print out??
In that case a lamination might work well.

Chitra, how big is the poster? Mostly it would depend on size and quality.

Chitra, if its quite big, lamination may not work. I mean, if you have a big room, then maybe it will still work but the rooms are fairly medium size, the poster is not gonna look good. You can probably reduce the size digitally (scanning etc) and then try to laminate.

Rakhii. Makes sense but the original poster may go bad right?

Not necessarily. But it may get expensive to scan the original. If I am not mistaken, you need to take the poster to the specialized stores which reprint/scan the original paintings. Once you are able to find that, they will do the scanning part. You can still get the same resolution with a smaller print. But let me caution you, when reprinting or scanning this way, it is going to cost you at least $100 and upwards, depending on size.

You could go to a home store like Lowes or Home depot. Choose a thin sheet of PLEXIGLASS. They will cut it to size. I would make 2 similar sheets, place the poster between them and get clips (specialized ones that snap on - ask the guys there for suggestions and they will help you) This way you can see it clearly, and the covering won't be heavy like glass. Once you make that, you can buy a separate frame hanging kit which gives everything you would need to hang up a photo frame.

This is just my suggestion, you could ask somebody in hobby lobby or even any home improvement stores for suggestions. This would probably be your cheapest option as laminating or framing in this country will burn a hole in your wallet.
