Again I will still insist fair or dark has nothing to do with beauty and lead role. There is something called screen presence. Something attractive.. can’t place my finger on it. Rithvika is a pretty girl. However,She will do better in sister role than a heroine.Maybe with the right roles and good grooming she might rock. Even viji, though she looks good, even we have mentioned in this thread how surprised we are to see her looking nice but in movies not so good.she is fair.even viji I don’t know for a main role.she looks better in B.B. than movies. So it’s not about dark or fair. Rambha has no features, was having thunder thighs, nothing great about her but she rocked the industry. Rani, bhanupriya has really sharp features and has the awesome appeal.. Plus bhanupriya was a great dancer and great actor. One needs to have that something extra whatever it is... It has nothing to do with beauty or fair or dark. However, good grooming is important..
Actually..on the lighter side.. Contrary to what people think..it is tough for pretty girls to get compliments Infact, people are more than happy to compliment an average looker coz they do not see her as competition or threat. Pretty girls in real life are actually bashed and they are pointed out their flaws and made to feel bad.. I am not saying just for the heck of it but it is what it is. Konjam a girl starts to look pretty..the green eyed monster starts its work! Again another truth is we Tamil girls only appreciate and keep North Indian women as angels.I remember back in college if someone said”oh!you are looking like a north India”..immediately the receiver face will glow like 1000 watts bulb.Inwardly we also feel they are superior. Another thing I hated is “Even if she is dark, she is pretty “..how many have faced this? Why not say”even if you are fair, you are pretty”.. The thought process is wrong.Self introspection is a must.I feel instead of placing a blame game ..how many of us of willing to trade fair skin to dark skin if there is a chance? That’s what I meant by thought process. Overdoing dark skin or a fair skin campaign is also not a compliment. Again not all are that way but be it plain or a looker both get their due and backlash
yes there could be many like this - the ones receiving this shouldn't take it as a compliment, they should reject and answer appropriately.
this was there since long long ago and after the advent of the idiot box - the creamy companies exploited the opportunity to spread this nonsense multi fold and make make money out of it.
