Bharatanatyam Hip-hop Fusion

I follow a bunch of dancers on Instagram for my little one who learns Bharatanatyam. She recently had her very first public recital. : ) She loves watching reels of dance performances. Came across this gem by Usha Jey, who creates Bharatanatyam hip-hop hybrids. From her YouTube description,

"#HybridBharatham is my way of switching between Hip-Hop and Bharathanatyam, 2 dances that I love, learn and respect. My aim is to keep the essence of each dance and create something that does justice to who I am."

My apologies to the purists, but I simply love these! Such a beautiful blend of the energy of hip-hop with the grace of Bharatanatyam. The gestures and facial expressions are spot on. Something about the respectful mingling of cultures makes this truly heartwarming.
