My capacities to transition 'leaders' from the 'saviours of the nation' TO hungry predators on the prowl for power and money, stands unchallenged. My intoxication is so great that common man, his misery and sufferings are long forgotten and sacrificed in the battle to keep me. I am the much abused and most sought after official sanctum of any country... I am also called 'Political Power'. I aim to create an imbalance in your economy. I will wipe away your precious agricultural land and livelihood of hundreds of poor farmers. None can escape from the clutches of my concrete jungles. By your enduring support, I will ensure that a day will come when you will have no land to grow the crops for your food. You proudly call me 'Industrialization'. I am death in many forms. Governments shun me with all their heart in the open, but they also secretly breed me for their selfish needs. I thrive on the inefficiencies of your leaders. I can wipe out civilizations, lay many a country barren. Shhhh...I'm 'Terrorism'. I'm attacked from all sides, only the brave can save me. Rise up and fight for my rights. I'm on the verge of being extinct, I will not return, so do not lose me, I'm your only hope to survive. Help me overcome the Predators, do your duties to the nation, be an honest citizen and I will flourish through you.... I am 'Peace' and 'Patriotism'. Lets join hands together and get India back on her bearings.
I am India and I will survive all the torture. No Govt or individual can take me for granted. All evil deeds lasts for few days, may be years, but finally the truth and honesty wins. I am blessed with Goddess Lakshmi and am protected by Lord Shiva. I have the Grace of Mahavishnu and have the strength of Lord Hanuman, I have all the nine planets in my favour, though occasionally Saturn and Rahu shoot their heads out but cool down, I have the 12 Jyotirlingams with me, I have Mata Vaisnodevi standing tall with me, I have Annai Velankanni on my side, I have Mother Mary taking my petitions to Lord Jesus, I have people who are continuously praying at the Gurudwara, I have Haji Ali besides me, I have nothing to worry, I am India and I will survive.
Being socially aware of the hard efftects of these anti-social elments is every citizen's responsibility and that will help Indians to overcome and prevent incidents like the recent unrest in Mumbai. Mere prayer without action does not bear results. Lets make sure we get the action done which will enhance the prayers. Lets do every little bit we can to ensure we get good governance in our country, starting from bringing down the levels of fanatism, bias within our own family, friends circle to voting for good leaders. When we have 'KYC' for banks, why dont we have 'Know your Leaders' for politics. Next time when we participate in elections, lets do a little homework, keep away our biase and make sure we elect a good and able person to rule us.
