Indian Man Accused in Multimillion-Dollar Call-Center Swindle Is Held
Yes there has been increasing number of such scams going on for more than an year or two. Best approach is to ask the caller for a number to call back and verify that with IRS directory. Should not be yielding to law suits/ deportation threats that's generally used in such calls. DO NOT give out personal identification details to such callers.
If you get calls from phone numbers beginning with country codes of Burundi (+257), Malawi (+265), Pakistan (+92), Russia (+7), Nigeria (+234), Tunisia (+216), Belarus (+375) etc.; do not pick such calls if the number is unknown to you.
Please be safe....
