Best Vaccum Cleaner & Lawn Mower...

hey, I don't know if its right place to post it here... I am looking for good vaccum cleaner and lawn mower, I check hoover vaccum platinum one but there are some complaints about handle breaking so I am backing off on this particular one because of this...my house if full of carpet so I need a good one pricing below 300-400 dollars... just trying to get some idea which other brands are good.. we use dyson at my other house now I see they arevery expensive...
lawn mower we just got small place less than one fourth acre.. we went and look at home depot price is beyond 200. trying to get an idea which brand is good on this too... so please provide me with brand names...ASAP....
