A well wisher has suggested the following list of books for my child to read. Is there any website that sells books at reduced prices?

I would have loved to borrow these from the local library but these aren't available there.

Abe Books, Thrift Books and used books on Amazon/Barnes and Noble. If you search for these titles on Amazon you will get the new book price but it will also list the second-hand prices under “buying options”.
If your local library has a used bookstore then you can also search there. And if you like Kindle then sometimes the prices are really good there.
