Best Pressure Cooker

the best pressure cooker is prestige and hawkins. and also depends on your usage. i have 2l, 3.5, 5l. depending on number of people and regularuse. i bought it from hotdishes .net it is good . if u have indian shops nearby. its good to select from there.even the premier brand is good , its another version of prestige. hawkins cooks very fast. especially the contura model. and also look for original brand , becos one of my she bought a prestige pressure pan stainless steel....it was very thin and got wornout . it was a duplicate one.becareful of fake ones!!

 

Now a days we are finding pressure cookers even in US. I got it amazon.com, very durable, using since 4 years, you can get it JCPENNY , MACYS, SEARS etc. I bought it for $40 and it is also very easy to get it spare parts, once I changed the washer by ordering on phone and got in 3 days.

Sometimes you can find Prestige stainless steel cookers (and aluminum) marketed in the USA with the name of Manntra and having the American hissing weights. I have some of those and swapped to Indian weights. I suggest you stock up on valves, gaskets and weights in India whatever type you get.

I have a Indian brand which is extremely good and that is by FUTURA, and here I have bought one by Lagostina. They are both excellent. I do not like the whistling cookers, they sound unsafe.
