hello Behind that mask lies …..? No politics this……..Campaign in full swing in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1lace w:st="on">Gujarat</st1lace>. To see narendra modi so confident and bold in his approach. there were quite a few narendra modi s on stage and everywhere campaigning. One man in so many places. They often said there were seven look alikes but to find them all in one place. Ahaha that was a nice mask they had and campaigning for him. Masks are not new to us. As children we did have those tigers ferocious, elephants with a long trumpet and big ears and every time the trumpet went a swinging… the eyes went a looking longingly the grand eats we cant eat as we had a mask on. The cats looking sly. Somehow there was no mouse?... ah yes it could have been mickey mouse but no ordinary mouse. We have today simple masks. Only it is not made of paper or cloth or whatever and does not resemble the innocent animal. Behind that mask of grin, smile or don’t care a damn attitude there often lies a weak, soft at heart, longing, lost, forlorn, (more…!) but go about work and our daily life as if the world is just going about for us to be…! sathya
Yet another great one from you Sathya ..Its so interesting how you started and then moved to our daily lives and masks that everyone has to wear..good one..
Nice one Sathya! Everybody wear masks either to show who they are, as the situation warranties. I do have lot of masks in my kitty. I think we do it because we want a smooth flow in our life without any disturbances. Sometimes 'masking' ourselves too much has its results in the form of illnesses we suffer due to that. Shall we call this as 'pretending' equals 'masking'. sriniketan
hello chitra and srinik luckily it is not ullondru vaithu puram ondru pesuvathu .... time heals everything and having a mask can mask your weak moments... ........ and perhaps you can forget wearing a mask and have a permanent smile...! srinik so what are those masks like? grin, glee or smile? sathya
Behind some mask the heart bleeds. The bleeding hearts write.Having written finds some solace For there are very few in this world who provide solace with sincerity. Having sympathised they go there way Sometimes never to turn back and ask again May i be of any help? Then comes to the rescue poems like yours which no balm can heal. Having gone through your profile I felt thrilled. Happy to see such talents in this site. Usually i get to read such items in Sulekha.com. I like Shanvy's postings too. kanaka.
