    But the baked jewellery on cooling in water if it does not dissolve it means it is baked well...
    Pls chk you tube there is a method of firing the clay jewellery using saw dust

    If u bought wt clay it will be in dough form it doesnt need filtering but if you vought dry clay u hv to see there r no impurities like sticks n stones it there r then u need to break the clay filter with fine sieve and then the fine clay needs to be put in water for 8hrs or so and then water standing needs to be carefully drained out and the resultant clay settled in the bottom need to be left as is till excess water gets evaporated and becomes chapthi dough like this u can use for jewellery ...
    But i advice buy clay from good source..


    You are in Bangalore you can check Clayjoy or claystation they supply good clay just google you will find...

    Hi Ladies,

    I Tried baking using pressure cooker method but somehow didnt come well:-(. When i put the earrings in water it started dissolving means it not baked well rite??
    Can someone please guide me the correct procedure.how many hours should it bake?
    am not having oven in my home? IS there any other method??

    no, i did not try pressure cooker method as I doubt if it wud come well...When u steam it inside a cooker, it will become moist & hence will break fast. I use the sawdust method of baking in clay pot..
