I am practicing to draw saree using chiffon saree that I

    1. added border to
    2. Added double ,Ayer, 5 inch wide fall to

I try to follow Dolly Jain but the pleats fall apart.I think they need to be ironed with hair straightener as Dolly suggests in another video

Please recommend hair straightener that will not burn the chiffon

Chiffon sarees are easier and you don't need straightener. Straightener is very helpful in pleating cotton or silk sarees. Ensure you secure the pleats with enough safety pins

I suggest you don't use any straighter on Chiffon saree. It's always good to protect sarees from heat. Even I'm seeing alot of video (in my Instagram they keep popping) where they use hair straightener. These trends are from stylists who want to promote their perfect saree draping. They care a least about our silk sarees which we need to preserve for next 15 20 years. The more heat we use the more sooner they'll lose their color.
The index and the middle finger✌ are absolutely enough to set the saree right. Be it chiffon or silk :)
And your other post on draping saree - these skills come from consistent practice. The tamil iyer style saree draping looks complicated. How I became a pro in that? By practicing daily.
When I quit job I didn't have much work to do. Few essential things I wanted to learn. One was learning to drape the madisar (the tamil style saree draping) . I kept trying everyday watching a video. The steps were in my mind after 6 or 7th day of practice.
Don't wait for an occasion to practice. It adds to pressure if we can't get it perfect on the required day. Just try whenever you get time.

I’m gonna keep safety pins handy for my practice sessions

ohhhhh, and I was set in getting a straightener

so far I got a chiffon saree that was advertised as georgette. I can’t wear this sheer thing in public, hence I use for practice

I try to practice draping everyday. I am really intent in wearing saree as normal routine. I love the simple open Palau style

I just googled Tamil style draping. Wow that is complicated!

@SuiDhaaga - Like @Anusha2917 said, its best to practice until you perfect the drape. I didn’t know about this pleating from the bottom method! I’ll try it the next time.

they say real silk /chiffon does not burn.. but i will not dare to test. Also no need to buy straightener just for saree ironing. I know people do that to improvise when they do not have iron or space.
I do not know much about ironing pleats..sorry my saree days are long long gone.

Any textile will burn if the heat is strong enough.
