Hello ladies, Regarding job here, I responded to a newspaper ad and was called for interview. although i did not have any experience in the US, they liked my experience in India and offered me the job and also sponsored H1 visa for me. If you have a US work permit you can apply for the jobs directly - even if you do not then apply and ask if they will sponsor you. If you have the right qualifications and experience they may agree. my back ground is in marketing (MBA) and I had about 5 years experience in India. Brindha - as you are outside the US, you will need some company to sponsor you or your spouse for a H1 visa , or you could try for a transfer through your bank there and come here on a L1 visa. the other alternative is to come here on a tourist visa and then apply for jobs - that may be easier as most employers will want to interview you face to face before giving you a job offer. But now should think abt how to get into US , since we dont know anyone there ...shakehead Is CREDIT UNION in San jose has Treasury /Investment dept.My husband is specialised in Investment and Treasury and i have experience in Retail and Trade finance . Anusha, I work with Meriwest Credit union. I do not know of any friends in LA who work there. You could post your resume on monster etc and you may get calls from employers. As you already have a work permit it should be easy to get a job. Brindha - yes my credit union does have an investment / treasury dept but I don't think there are any openings currently. Also we do not hire without a face to face interview, it will be very difficult for you to get a job here unless you are here. getting a H1 visa is also not that easy now. maybe one of you could come here first and try for a job.
