Dear shiva Please help me with the following adjustments (1) Heating mode - (up /down / Up and down ) (2) Baking tray placement (bottom/middle rack)
Dear MsSunitha, Here are the answers : 1. I keep the oven at the highest temperature. Its like boiling kachories in hot oil. So keep it at highest temperature and check them after 5 minutes. 2. Tray should be placed in the middle. Hope this helps. regards Shiva
This is a very gud way to bring down the calories in fried kachories and also have the taste of snacking. But I request you to kindly offer another version of this as I do not have a microwave. May be a recipe that can be made on stove instead. Awaiting ur response eagerly.
Dear Bhaghi, Thanks for liking the recipe. You can make them on the pan as well, if you check the part -2, in the end I have shown how to make paratha out of the same dough and mixture, it tastes the same. Check it out. Baked Kachories - 2 - Blogs - IndusLadies Have a great day ahead. regards Shiva
Gr8 Shiva!!!!!!! I am on a major wt loss program. Lost almost 18 kgs. Still need to loose 8 more. But cant resist Kachories. Ur idea of kneading with milk (skimmed) was fantastic but i dont have a oven but microwave. How can i do the same with micro
Dear Loveless, Wow, 18kgs weight loss. Congrats girl. Microwave the kachories for 3 minutes and then just grill on a pan. I think this will do the trick. Let me know if they turned out well in microwave. Love Shiva
Dear Reenamoryani, Thanks for liking the recipe. Next I will try with yellow mung daal (I have never tried the yellow mung dal version), I am sure they will taste good. Lots of love regards Shiva
Hi Shiva, I made these baked kachoris this weekend because I needed some variety in my evening snacks. From last 2 weeks, I was eating either baked vada or litti . This Sunday I thought of making batter of lentil pancakes for my dinner and baked kachoris for snacks. I didn't have maida at home so made with only whole wheat flour. It came out too good. I have stored them in Zip lock bags in fridge. How long do they stay like this and will they retain their crispness? Everytime that I take it out before eating, do I need to reheat for sometime in MW? Thanks Supreep
