    Dear Friends at Bahrain,
One of my friend is on an assignement to Bahrain for 6 to 7 months.

Can you please throw some light on how is the cost of living there for a single person.I do not have idea if the company is providing any facility etc.

    1.Will you get indian food?
2.Cooking by own or eating out?
    3.How about housing rent?
    4.Commutation?
    5.Other expenses
6.Medical expenses in case of any emergency
    7.how much can be saved?
8.Tax exemption on what is allowed - like gold, salary etc.

Please guys, update me.That friend is relying on IL for good info.
    So am I dears....

    Dear Aishu,

How many lights you want, 1,2,3.... Big LaughBig Laugh...

    1. Yes, you will get Indian Food, both Veg & Non-Veg
    2. You can cook and also eat out.
    3. Rent, Depends upon how he / she wants to stay... Sharing or single/double bedroom flat... You can get Furnished accomodation... Since the person is going to be there only for 7-8 months, it is advisable to go sharing, non-cooking independent room... It may vary from 150-250 BD
    4. Ask the Company to provide... That is the biggest problem... as taxis will fleece you.
    5. What other expenses - If you can be specific then I can clarify
    6. There are good private hospitals.. KIMS is there... But medical is little expensive there.
    7. Savings depends upon the individual...
    8. No Tax in Bahrain...

If you need further details or any help in Bahrain, please let me know (pm)... I still have some good friends there...
