Baby milk feeding problem :(

Hi friends please help me i don't know how to solve my problem. I got delivered 10 days back blessed with baby girl. I have flat nipples. on 3rd day for my baby feeding is very difficult so i gave powdered milk. My nurse did syringe technique to pull out my nipples but there is no use. one of my friend suggest Nipple Shield. So now i am feeding my baby with nipple Shield but my mother is saying that Nipple Shield is not permanent and supply of milk is very low. sometimes while feeding i am using mine but baby can't suck the milk properly. She is getting the habit of sucking milk through Nipple Shield. Now i am getting worried baby feeding is through Shield only.Please help or suggest me any technique for my nipples coming out for baby feeding
