I tried avocado in thogaiyal and it was really nice! Just sauté the avocado pieces, add with coconut ,dry roasted urad dal , roasted red chillies, salt and asafoetida . Grind to a paste slightly coarse avocado thogaiyal is ready! Pls share ur avocado indian recipes!:cheers
Here is what is try. Mash avocado and blend with ginger (not too much)and green chillies .Take it out in a vessel.Squeeze enough lime/lemon to neutralize the creamy bland taste of avocado to get a slight sour taste.Add salt and very finely -chopped big red onions.Red onions taste better than white ones. Garnish with coriander leaves. Please note you can make a paste of green chillies or add them in a chopped fashion whatever you like. Personally,I prefer the paste of fresh green chillies to get the hot flavour. Enjoy as chutney.
