    Hi,

Can anybody provide me with the authentic grandmothers goan fish curry recipe? I have tried various recipes exactly as given yet i fail. I dont know where i am going wrong. The ingredients of all the recipes i have tried are more or less the same as its a very easy dish to prepare. I can prepare more complicated dishes but miserably fail here.

Hi.Here's a Goan fish curry recipe, the way it is made at our place. Its my granny's recipe.Hope you like it.

Grind half a grated coconut,1 tsp coriander seeds,10-12 red chillies(depending on your taste),lemon sized ball of tamarind and a little water to a smooth paste. In a vessel, add some oil, add finely chopped onions and stir fry it.Then add the paste and a little water and boil.Apply turmeric powder to fish pieces. You can use any fish of your choice. Then once the gravy starts boiling, add the fish and salt and cook.Add coconut oil (optional) and stir and close the gas.Cover it for some time.
