I have this same issue.have a habit of sleeping on stomach. I guess and hope it wont harm baby as long as we feel comfortable. but still we can try to avoid doing it intentionally. whenever my dh sees me in that position he tells me and i turn. later on when our stomach will get big we wont be able to sleep on it then...

    First thing

    1. Try avoiding white rice.
    2. Include proteins along with your carbs.
    3. Don't eat fruit or drink milk in the morning.
    4. Walk 10-15 mins after lunch/ Dinner.
    5. Don't get stressed.
    6. Spread your food across 6 times per day.

    Nile,

Try 2 eat protein and lots of vegetetables. Also, while buying check the nutritional facts, you can see carbs, protein and fiber count.

if you need any specific information let me know.

Yea Sure. Will check with her.

ssm014, kansun - Will take both of your advise. Anyhow I will check with nutrition.

Kansun, i do eat everyday egg/chicken , veg everyday, any green leafy.

Want to know what's the substitute Indian food. Here doctor said me to avoid rice, chapatti, idly, dhosa which all almost has lot of carbs. Instead of they suggesting me to have Pitta bread, brown rice. Since i do have vomiting, I couldn't take pitta bread /brown rice. I asked my family members , they don't have any idea apart from rice..

Do you know any other alternate Indian food which does't have carbs.

Even i have GD, you dont need 2 avoid everything. you can eat pretty much everything but in moderate quantity. Did doctor asked you to check your sugar level after break fast/ Lunch/ Dinner. Also, nutrition may have suggested the amount of carbs intake.

    you can eat

    Lunch/ Dinner
    2 chapathis 6'' radius size
    1 cup Brown rice
    1 cup vermicellia
    1 cup quinoa
    1 Cup Pasta

    Snacks

2 dosa or mung dal dosa ( can prepare in brown rice)
1 Apple - tennis ball size
    cottage cheese with 10-15 crackers
    orange, guava, pomogranate, small banana

try 2 include 2-3 vegetable sabji. Dal/ beans needs to be in control as they also carry carbs. you can find out how many curbs seeing nutrition list.

1 suggestion, eating chicken every day may make your body heat. Try to marinate chicken with curd, it will make your body cold. this is what i generally do when i prepare chicken.

Also, when you eat only carbs your sugar levels go high, but if you add protein your numbers will stay low. since protein makes digestion slow.

example : if you eat chapthi with dal you will see little high reading, if you add Egg/ Chicken/ Fish/ Paneer/ Soy beans to it. this will reduce your sugar little bit. The trick is to balance carb and protein. since too much protein is also bad.

Now only i realized how complex our body is. i feel we should eat everything but not same thing everyday to keep healthy body.

Also, please see below link, i got good information.
